That onion guy got it so wrong! – still the longer it rains, the longer is stays green and the more work we can do without dying of exhaustion. I also find that just when it’s all starting to look really grim suddenly there is a shaft of annunciation light on the hills and its all OK again.
Recently our daughter’s teacher mentioned to Andrea that they had nowhere to go for their final outing. What part of a chap’s brain makes it OK for him to say ‘bring them to our house’ – Great, 32 eight year olds and, of couse it rained. Nevermind, we did a couple of huge group paintings, had some lunch in the big kitchen and, when the rain finally stopped went for a walk.
Ironically I was trying to finish our listing for www.worldretreats.co.uk inbetween showing kids how to use the telescope, settling minor squabbles and trying to limit paint damage. Then they all piled in their two minibuses, off they went and, what do you know, out came the sun.
In the end it all worked out fine, no breakages and no deaths – always a plus.
Letta said it was the best day of her life so far – one in the eye for Eurodisney. Can we do it again tomorrow? No
